Vulnerable adults exist in all areas of society and it’s important that we understand what we can do to promote their welfare and safeguard them from potential harm. This Safeguarding Vulnerable Adults course aims to help increase your knowledge of the subject so that you feel confident in recognising abuse, reporting your concerns and promoting a good quality of life for all the vulnerable adults you work with.  If you are required to hold a formal qualification please see our Safeguarding and Protecting Children, Young people and Adults course

Syllabus:

A range of subjects is covered including:
– Understand why safeguarding vulnerable adults training is so important for everyone within your organisation
– Have an awareness of which adults are most at risk and which factors increase the likelihood of being at risk from harm
– Have an awareness of which adults are most at risk and which factors increase the likelihood of being at risk from harm
– Understand how to respond appropriately to a disclosure from a vulnerable adult and know what to do next
– Know how to report any concerns that you may have
– Understand what happens in the safeguarding process after a referral to adult social care has been made

Certification:

This is achieved by on-going theoretical teaching by the instructor and successful completion of a multiple choice question paper.

This certificate lasts for 1 year. To renew your certification, learners will need to retake the full course
